True cost (example)Biaya sebenarnya (contoh)Rp410,000Rp410.000Still Rp32,000 above cost per chairMasih Rp32.000 di atas biaya per kursi
If waste and waiting time are left out, this chair looks like it costs Rp350,000. An offer of Rp442,000 then feels much safer than it is. With the full figures, you know your lowest workable price before you answer the buyer.
Counting rulesAturan hitung
Nothing is counted twiceTidak ada yang dihitung dua kali
Material is only the rattan that ends up in the chair. Offcuts and spoiled rattan go under Material waste, not here.
Labour is only wages for time spent working. Wages paid while a worker waits go under Waiting time, not here.
Tools and power is only the share used up by one chair, and not anything already counted in wages.
The formula: cost of one chair = material + labour + waiting time + waste + tools and power. The five layers do not overlap. If a figure could fit two layers, we ask you first and write our decision in the report.
The percentage in this example is the margin on selling price: selling price minus cost, divided by selling price. It is not the workshop's net profit. Rent, the owner's pay and other fixed costs are not in these five layers.

This margin is per chair. It is not the workshop's net profit. Below the minimum price, every chair sold adds to the loss.
Where work gets stuck mostTitik yang paling sering macet
The weaving stage. Frames pile up waiting for a weaver, so the waiting time is paid for anyway.
Tahap menganyam. Rangka menumpuk menunggu penganyam, sehingga waktu menunggu ikut dibayar.
Three improvements, estimates not promisesTiga perbaikan, perkiraan bukan janji
Cut rattan to a pattern to reduce offcuts. Estimated saving of up to Rp12,000 per chair.Potong rotan sesuai pola agar sisa berkurang. Perkiraan hemat sampai Rp12.000 per kursi.
Have frames ready before the weaver arrives. Estimated saving of up to Rp10,000 per chair.Siapkan rangka sebelum penganyam datang. Perkiraan hemat sampai Rp10.000 per kursi.
Record material use per order. The saving cannot be calculated until records exist.Catat pemakaian bahan per pesanan. Penghematannya belum bisa dihitung sebelum ada catatan.
How it worksCara kerja
What we do in 14 daysApa yang kami kerjakan dalam 14 hari
We come to the workshop with a scale, a tape measure and a notebook. We ask first, then measure. Your production keeps running as usual.
Kami bertanya dulu, lalu mengukur. Produksi Bapak/Ibu tetap berjalan seperti biasa.
Days 1 to 2Hari 1–2We visit and map the work, from rattan arriving to the chair leaving.
Days 3 to 5Hari 3–5We photograph purchase notes, weigh the material used and time each stage.Memotret nota, menimbang pemakaian bahan, dan mencatat waktu tiap tahap.
Days 6 to 10Hari 6–10We do the calculation. A computer helps read the notes and draft the tables. We recount at least one note in five by hand.Menghitung.
Days 11 to 12Hari 11–12We write the report in plain language.Menulis laporan dengan bahasa yang mudah dipahami.
Days 13 to 14Hari 13–14We explain the result to you and draft a 90-day plan together.
What you receive, in writingYang Bapak/Ibu terima, tertulis

Every figure in the report traces back to a note or a measurement. Where a figure is uncertain, we state its limits.

Third-party AILayanan AI pihak ketiga
Photos of notes are read with an AI service run by another company, so the contents of a note are processed on that provider's servers. We name the service and ask your permission before any note is sent. If you prefer not to, we do not send it; we read it by hand and the work takes longer.
